On this guided Giant’s Causeway – Game of Thrones Tour we will bring you to some of northern Ireland’s most treasured sites. You will get to experience the wonderful land and seascape of the world famous Giant’s Causeway, one of one two UNESCO world heritage sites on the island of Ireland.
Our driver/tour guide, Bud, was a high point for me – his commentary, a combination of history, philosophy and humor made a very long ride very enjoyable – the Northern Ireland coast is stunningly beautiful – also the addition of some Game of Thrones filming locations was an added bonus for GoT fans
My friend and I went on the Giant’s Causeway tour, and it did not disappoint. Our guide shared with us little bits of history about the place while interjecting them with folk legends, which definitely prevented things from being too dry. The sights were stunning too – the Dark Hedges (really cool especially if you’re a Game of Thrones fan), Carrick-a-Rede bridge and Giant’s Causeway were definitely a highlight. Belfast was a little underwhelming for me, but that might be due to the fact that we went on a Sunday, and most shops there were closed. Overall a must-do day trip if you’re in Dublin!
My husband and I went on the Belfast/Giant’s Causeway tour through Extreme Ireland last Friday with a tour guide named Bud, and he was the sweetest, friendliest, most welcoming guy we met! It was our first time in Ireland, and he truly made us feel so included and welcomed. The tour was about 13-14 hours long in total and it was totally worth every penny. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the country and its history, and he encouraged us to ask questions. Even though it was a long tour, I felt like it was totally worth it especially since you could take a nap in the comfy tours during the longer legs of the trip. Overall, I’d recommend this tour and company in a heart beat. Specifically, I’d ask for the tour guide Bud if you can- I promise he will show you a good time!
