The Gravedigger Ghost Bus Tour

Gravedigger

The Gravedigger Ghost Tour

Dublin is not a city without scars. On the Gravedigger Ghost Tour, travel back to when the plague ravaged the land nearly 600 years earlier. Infected rats and their fleas spread the disease from Dublin to Drogheda. Thousands upon thousands were killed. To a time when the old Augustinian Priory was in operation and the plague houses were overflowing; the guide is all too familiar with the latter! Follow a plague victim and his ghoulish friends from Trinity College throughout Dublin as they tell the dark history of Dublin.

The best ghost bus tour starts at Trinity College where your guide will transport you back some 600 years ago to when the old Augustinian Priory and of course the plague house were there. The latter of which the guide is all too familiar with…

But just ignore the ashen palour of his skin and coughing and listen to tales of a plague-ravaged Dublin.

– Hear an account of plague victims trying to soothe their wounds in the waters of the city’s drinking supplies.

– Learn about the mayors schemes to try and keep the disease at bay

– And discover the fates of all those poor souls who found themselves infected with the disease. Many were ostracised, but some suffered an end much, much worse.

Many believed that the plague was the end of days, but Dublin’s troubles and and its horrors continued.

Join your guide as he takes you through the weird and wonderful events that have taken place in times gone by, unearthing legends and ghosts from Dublin’s past.

“HILARIOUS *5 STARS”
This tour was a great way to end my Dublin Holiday, as I took it on my last night here. The actors are so funny and great at what they do. The stories they tell and sites visited are awesome. I highly recommend this tour.

“HILARIOUS ENTERTAINMENT”
This tour is a must do when you visit Dublin! The guys who take the tour are the greatest performers, they really do get into their roles and make you feel like you are actually there!
Absolutely incredible tour and filled with loads of facts but make it the fun way everyone on the trip seemed to enjoy it! And you finish the tour with a lovely pint on Guinness in a lovely local pub! Absolutely brilliant way to spend an evening in Dublin!

“RAVE ABOUT THE GRAVE!!”
What an amazing night a spooky tour through Dublin’s’ haunted past. The two actors kept us entertained & a little frightened. Highly recommend this tour.
